In the Sicilian territory, the Baglio is a fortified farm provided with a large courtyard. The Baglio is the expression of a geo-economic organization connected with the feud and, consequently, with the large estate.
The Baglio was once a large farm where not only the laudowners but also the farmers who worked there all the year or seasonally lived.
It was, therefore, provided with several lodgings as well as stables and warehouses for the crops.
"BAGLIO ANTICO" is a building constructed in the typical rural architecture of the end of the 19 th century.
It is of a remarkable exent and in 2008 a half of it was restored as a hosting agriturism for guests who like tranquillity and choose to be lodged here.
